We are also a member of the National Newcomers Association of Canada which was established to provide and facilitate the exchange of ideas among clubs across Canada.  Our Charity

Since its inception, Glacier Newcomers Alumnae Association has been committed to supporting a local charity. Support is given through proceeds of our 50/50 ticket sales and donations of food, clothing or money from individual members. Charities all provide income tax receipts. The charities we have supported in the past several years include:

  • Pastor's Pantry - a supplement to the Food Bank

  • Care-a-Van - supporting the homeless living in the Comox Valley

  • School District 71 Lunch program

  • Women's Transition Society

To date, from 2016, we have donated more than $35,000 and many items of food and clothing to our selected charities.
